HISTORY AND
TIMELINE:
In early
1997, a group of businessmen and professionals
from Batangas founded a rural bank named
PROGRESSIVE RURAL BANK, INC. (PRBI), more widely
known as PROGRESSIVE BANK. They bought a lot in
Luta Norte, Malvar, Batangas where its head
office was established. Progressive Rural Bank
Inc. (PRBI) commenced its banking operations on
January 8, 1998.
The bank was dedicated to better serving its
expanding clientele with a level of distinction
befitting its name. Therefore, they chose to
extend their services to neighboring provinces.
Consequently, after a decade, Progressive Rural
Bank, Inc. (PRBI) inaugurated its first branch
on May 8, 2008, along C.M. Recto Ave., the
bustling commercial hub of Lipa City, Batangas.
On July 15, 2011, another branch was established
at Crossing, Calamba City, the first component
city located in the province of Laguna. Calamba
City is presently recognized as the "Richest
City in CALABARZON." Subsequently, on December
21, 2013, another branch was opened in Sta.
Rosa, Laguna. Santa Rosa stands as the premier
city and hub of South Luzon.
Since its inception in 1988, when it started
with five (5) employees, PROGRESSIVE BANK has
expanded its operations to employ forty-one (41)
individuals. Managed professionally by
successful businessmen known for their
impeccable integrity, it comes as no surprise
that despite its modest beginnings, PROGRESSIVE
BANK has emerged as one of the most esteemed
rural banks in the region. |
